To enjoy a flowering garden in June, you need to start planting flower seedlings in January. At the very beginning of the year, slowly growing flowers are sown, in which at least 4 months pass from the moment of sowing until the buds appear.

Aquilegia

This plant is otherwise called the catchment. Planting material is better to stratify before planting - soak in the refrigerator for 1-1.5 months. Seeds need to be sown with grooves in containers for seedlings with moist soil, sprinkled with a layer of earth no thicker than half a centimeter. At a temperature of 20ºС seedlings will appear after about 3 weeks. If you sow aquilegia in the first half of January, already at the end of spring it will be possible to plant it under cover.

Dolphinium perennial

In mid-winter, delphinium hybrids are planted blooming in the year of planting. To accelerate germination, the seeds are stratified in the cold for 1-1.5 months. Then they are sown in seedlings with any suitable moistened soil, to a depth of about 3 cm. They are watered and placed in a room with a temperature of no more than 20 ° C. Sprouts will appear in 2-3 weeks.

Bell Carpathian

These bells can be planted throughout January, then by the end of May the plant will be ready to bloom. Squeeze the seeds into moist soil, it is better not to sprinkle them with earth. Boxes with seedlings are placed in a room with a temperature of + 15 ... + 18ºС.

Pelargonium

Pelargonium is better known as geranium. She is planted in the second half of the month. Seeds are sown in moist soil, to a depth of 1 cm. In a room with seedlings there should be a temperature of about 20 ° C, then seedlings will appear in a week.

Begonia ever flowering

The begonia sown in the second half of January will bloom in May. The plant is planted in containers with moist soil, ramming the seeds on its surface. Cover with a film or glass until emergence, usually for about 1.5-2 weeks.

Verbena is beautiful

To verbena bloomed in July, plant it in the second half of January. Seeds are sown in moist soil, crushing them, but not sprinkling with earth. Before the first shoots appear seedlings are covered with a film or glass, put in a bright place with a temperature of + 20 ... +25 ° С. The soil cannot be too moistened; verbena does not like this.

Lobelia

If lobelia is sown at the end of January, in May the seedlings will be ready for planting and flowering. The seeds are very small, they are simply scattered on the surface of moist soil, slightly pressing. Next, put in a warm place. In the second week, the first shoots should appear.

Heliotrope

Unlike new hybrids, old heliotrope varieties bloom slowly, so they can be sown already in late January. Seedling containers are filled with moistened soil, planting material is evenly scattered over the surface. Spray crops from a spray bottle, cover with a film or glass and put in a warm place (+ 20ºС). Shoots appear after 1-4 weeks.

Primrose

Primrose seeds quickly lose their germination, therefore it is recommended to sow them as soon as possible after harvest. Before planting, seeds are stratified. A good result is given by a cycle of changing cold and heat, the so-called buildup - first planting material is kept in the refrigerator, then in a room with a high temperature, then again in a cold place. It is also advisable to soak them before planting for a day in a stimulator, for example, in a solution of humic concentrate. Sowing is carried out in December-January. Planted in moist soil, shallow (1 cm). Seedling containers are kept at a temperature of + 17ºС in a bright place with high humidity. In the open ground primrose can be planted in mid-April.

Petunia ampelous

The petunia sown in the second half of January can be planted on May holidays. But this applies only to ampelous varieties, the rest is sown later. Seeds are planted in moist soil, not deepening, but only rammed on the surface. Provide crops with temperature + 22 ... + 25 ° С. When seedlings appear, it is better to illuminate them with a lamp, otherwise the seedlings may wither.

Turkish carnation

In January, hybrids of Turkish carnations are sown blooming in the year of planting. Planting material is deepened into moist soil by about half a centimeter. Crops do not need special heat - just + 16 ... + 20ºС.

Flowers sown in mid-winter can be planted in open ground in May. But do not forget about return frosts that are harmful to plants.
